Compliance Officer

Job description

ARMECONOMBANK OJSC is looking for a highly qualified Compliance Officer to work in the Compliance Department.

Job responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of the Bank’s internal regulations governing compliance-related risk management;
• Identification of compliance risks, submission of recommendations aimed at addressing non-compliances and internal control deficiencies, development of actions plan to reduce identified risks, as well as organization and monitoring of their implementation;
• Organization of the identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with ensuring the Bank’s compliance with main legal and regulatory requirements;
• Monitoring compliance with the requirements of an ethical corporate culture within the Bank;
• Preparation and submission of reports on matters falling within the scope of the Bank’s Compliance Department to the Bank’s Executive Director, Management Board, and Board;
• Ensuring the Bank’s communication with the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia on compliance-related matters and, where necessary, with law enforcement authorities, international organizations, and other parties;
• Planning, coordinating, and supervising the activities of the Compliance Department, including monitoring of employees’ performance of their duties as defined by their job descriptions and the Bank’s internal legal acts, and other related responsibilities.

Required qualifications

Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of acts regulating the banking activity , as well as local and international legal acts related to Compliance and combating AML/CFT, regulations of RA CB.

Technical skills

good knowledge of MS Office programs

Knowledge of language

Armenian-excellent, good knowledge of Russian and English languages. Excellent knowledge of languages will be considered as an advantage.

The presence of international qualification certificates (CAMS, ICA and so on) will be considered as an advantage.

Required education

Higher education (legal or financial).

Required work experience

At least 5 years of work experience in financial and banking sector, experience as a manager will be an advantage.
